Hebrews chapter 10, verses 24 and 25.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some,

but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

There is so much here. It's one of my favorite parts of the book of Hebrews, where you see these exhortations.

Let us do this, three in a row, verse 22, and all of this in light of what Jesus has done for us on the cross. Let us draw near to God with a true heart and full

assurance of faith. That's verse 22. And verse 23 is, let's hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering.

And then verse 24 is, let's consider, like, intentionally think about how to stir up one another.

What a great phrase.

How to stir up the people around us to love and good works.

Oh, don't you want that to be the fruit of your life today?

That because of your influence in others' lives today, they're more loving and doing more good.

Wow, what a picture.

Don't you appreciate?

Aren't you grateful for people in your life who make you a better

person because of their influence in your life? That's the description we've got here in Hebrews

1024. More people who are loving and more people who are doing good works because you are

intentionally thinking through how to stir

that up in others. Your influence on them leads them to be more loving and to do more good works.

And this is God's design for the church. This is why he goes on to say in verse 25, not neglecting

to meet together. This is why we come together as the body, at least one reason,
