Summary

In this episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Brandon talks with Lora about her marriage to a manipulative financial abuser. At 32, Lora met her ex-husband online, he seemed intelligent and ambitious, however, Lora would soon find out that her was also abusive. He became the truth teller in her world, only to isolate her from friends and family. When they got married, he took control of Lora's finances, and racked up significant debt in her name. And despite filing for divorce in 2022, Lora's legal battles and financial struggles continue. So just a little bit about my background. I was born and raised in a small town. I would say that I was raised upper middle class. Both of my parents were college educated. And I had a reasonably, I guess, what she would call normal upbringing.

My parents divorced when I was in sixth grade, and I don't really remember all the details.

I do know that my dad was an alcoholic, and that contributed significantly to the dysfunction in the house.

When they divorced, my mother was a teacher,
