Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought. Let's open up to Genesis chapter 9, verse 9.

0:15.4

If you asked most primary children what the rainbow at the end of Noah's story means, I feel like most would say

0:23.3

it was a promise from God never to flood the earth again, right? And that is totally and completely,

0:31.0

partially right. The Lord said with the rainbow, he would, and this is from Genesis chapter 9 verse 9 establish my covenant with you

0:43.0

and with your seed after you so in other words the rainbow symbolizes his covenant and this is the same

who remember him. So the takeaway of the day, in five words or less, we benefit from God's covenant.

1:50.3

Thank you so much for being here today and for coming close to Christ with me, one minute

1:54.0

at a time.

1:56.6

Feeling a little nervous about how to make the Old Testament work and actually understand what's

2:01.2

going on each week? I've gotcha. In my big picture little picture study guides, every single week,

2:06.8

I break it down for you in the simplest way possible. I give you the story. I give you the background

2:11.7

details that weave everything together. And I do it in just a few bullet points. I remind you who

2:16.8

the important people are, the important

2:18.4

places, and I give you spiritual guiding questions so that you can learn how to apply the scriptures,
