Summary

Advent is a season of expectation, longing and hope. No matter how chaotic the world may be around us, we place our joy and hope in Christ because we know he will save us. Today, Dr. Sri unpacks a prophecy in the book of Isaiah that brings us to the heart of advent and also offers us hope in our turbulent times. 1:02.8	Advent's the season of expectation, longing, and hope.
1:06.6	And this week, I know we got Thanksgiving on the horizon here,
1:09.4	but after all the turkey and after all the celebrations of Thanksgiving, the church is focusing our attention on the four great weeks of Advent where
1:19.2	we enter into that year
1:23.7	and I think in these trouble times,
1:26.3	you know, as there's been more school closings,
1:29.2	more shutdowns and governors trying to cancel Thanksgiving and all,
1:34.1	you know, many of us can just be a little discouraged
1:36.6	what's it gonna be like over the next several months.
1:38.8	I know there's this vaccine and there's hope that things may be better,
1:42.3	but it might be a long while.
1:43.6	Well we want to place our hope in in the proper place. Our hope is not found in
1:48.6	Washington, it's not found in what Dr. Fauchy says, It is not found in the media and all,
1:55.0	no, no, no, our real hope is found in Jesus Christ.
