Most of us did not grow up with a specific training in the virtues. At a young

age we learned about the alphabet and the multiplication table. When we got

older we learned about more complex math and science and the a job. We got training and skills, we got information, but we didn't learn what matters most in life.

You see there's a grand tradition of the virtues that has existed for over 2,000 years

from pre-Christian great thinkers like Plato and Aristotle and Cicero and then to Augustine,

the great Catholic Bishop,

There's a grand vision for the art of living life well.

It's called the virtues, the virtues we need
