Do you know the four key virtues every human person needs to be happy if they want to

relationships, in our families, and just to have a successful life. These four virtues are

commonly called the four cardinal virtues. Maybe you've heard about that, the

cardinal virtues. Why are they called the cardinal virtues? Because the word cardinal

is rooted in the Latin word for hinge. The idea is that these four virtues are like the hinges of our lives.

Our lives hinge on whether we have these virtues, how well we develop them, how well we draw upon them in our day-to-day lives.

What are those four crucial virtues, prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance.

Temperance are self-control.
