0:04.0	One of the most challenging things in life I find is that it's hard to remember to try
0:08.6	to see things from other people's perspectives.
0:11.8	We're all locked into our own point of view.
0:14.6	We're so focused on our world, our activities, our beliefs that it's hard to remember that

0:22.8	I heard a hilarious example of this phenomenon the other day.
0:26.2	I was with a group of people and we were all talking about a meeting that we all needed
0:30.4	to attend here in New York City.
0:33.0	It was a big meeting with people from all over the area, people coming from Brooklyn, Manhattan,
0:37.0	New Jersey, and so on.
0:38.9	And a friend turned to me and said, I don't understand why they scheduled a meeting to take
0:43.0	place where it's supposed to happen.
0:45.3	It's so inconvenient.
0:46.8	Why not pick a place that's easier to get to?
0:49.4	Well, I didn't say anything but I was thinking, why do you say it's inconvenient?
0:54.9	It's inconvenient for you, but it's probably very convenient for some other people.
1:00.3	It's so easy and big things and small to assume that people see the world the same way we
1:04.6	do.
1:05.8	But even when we're coming together, we're all coming from different places.
1:10.3	So we have different perspectives.
1:12.8	What's inconvenient for me might be very convenient for you and vice versa.
