We already got the flick Elvis like a year or two ago with Austin Butler playing Elvis. Now we're getting A24's version

with their film Priscilla. So apparently Lisa Marie Presley actually saw the script from

Sophia Coppola for Priscilla and reports are

coming out that she absolutely hated it so much so that she even sent emails to

director Sophia Coppola basically saying please don't do this.

Like, this is, I don't like it.

I feel like my father only comes across as a predator

and manipulative, and as his daughter,

I don't read this and see any of my father in this character.

I don't read this and see my mother's perspective of my father.

I read this and I see your shockingly vengeful and contemptuous perspective,

and I don't understand why.

Now, clips have already started coming out of this film,

and people are really excited about this.

I've seen a couple of scenes with Jacob Alordy, who's playing Elvis.

And some people are already going out on a limb and saying that he did a better job than

Austin Butler, despite not having to do the accent 24-7 to get into character. But Sophia wrote back to Lisa Marie and said

that she was taking great care and honoring her mother while also presenting her father with

sensitivity and complexity.
