tools listeners don't listen to Career Tools, but we believe that LinkedIn is so important to you and

your career not only as an individual contributor but as a manager we

want to share our thoughts with all our listeners. So in the first part of the

series we're going to recap what we covered on the career tools cast and in the

second part we're going to share with you our thoughts in terms of what it means for you as a manager.

For those of you already listen to Career Tools we apologize because for you it's going to be somewhat of repeat

but it will be very valuable for the vast majority of our listeners.

So with that, here we go with part one. Wow you saw that article in Fortune right we're going to talk a little bit about that today

but you know Wendy our associate in London is a terribly smart lady but she's smarter and even thought because she was talking about the stuff in that fortune article a year ago.

Yeah, and you know, stupid us.

Yeah. We, you know, we thought it wasn't time and whatever so we we put it on the shelf for almost a year and

sure enough like a few days before the fortune article came out we recorded our podcast on LinkedIn. Yeah, Wendy created some content in the form of a

podcast for us about LinkedIn. If you don't know LinkedIn's the digital social

media site for professionals and I hesitated I really paused I wasn't sure

You know the content would be timeless and I wasn't sure how big LinkedIn's reach was or anything like that.

Well, you know, basically we strive for all of our content,

on manager tools and career tools,

to be timely for many people

because they're facing the problem we're addressing.
