You won't hear the first voice note.

Anyway, the news about Gary Linica returning to presenting duties,

broke after we finished recording the pod.

It doesn't really change the substance of the discussion we had about

impartiality at the BBC, what happened match of the day.

And obviously the humanitarian crisis that leads to

desperate people getting on dinghies to try and get to this country.

But Gary Linica has said, I'm glad we found a way forward.

I support this review.

I look forward to getting back on air.

The BBC Director General Tim Davis said everyone recognized this has been a difficult

period for staff contributors, presenters and most importantly, our audiences.

I apologise for this.

He also announced an independent review on the BBC's existing social media

gardens with a particular focus on how it applies to freelancers outside news

and current affairs.

That match of the day, without a theme tune, without presenters, without pundits,

and when that commentary was a one off or a two off, I didn't watch much of the

day too. But we discuss it in part one.

Then we do the football and the rest of the pod.
