And I'm here as always with Pete Skazero. Pete is the founder of New Life as well as the founder of Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. And today we're going to talk about limits and leadership.

When I think about limits, Pete, it's a, it's a, I have a love-hate relationship with limits.

Um, in one sense I see the importance of it and another, it reminds me of my humanity and my brokenness there. So the idea of limits and leadership is a theme that comes up consistently in emotionally

healthy spirituality.

But Pete, we're going to talk about what does it mean to find God in our limits?

How do we search for God in our limits?

Because too often, we go beyond our limits and we find ourselves in a lot of trouble.

So before we, you give us a little theology of what limits are and the importance of it in our leadership,

what are some of the signs or it in our leadership. What are some

of the signs or just indicators that we are going beyond our limits? What have you experienced

personally? What have you seen in conversations with pastors around the world?

I think it's, in fact, I think it's one of the number one issues. I know it has been my number

one issue of rebellion. It's been such a theme in my life ever since I got

into EHS over 20 years ago. And my wife is always the first one to point it out. She seems to

see it before I do. But Jerry, often at conferences, will say this needs its own space. It rarely

gets its own space. It always gets, it's integrated into everything in a sense, but it doesn't have its own, you know, two-hour block.

And, you know, I think we've wrestled because in some ways it deserves it. It's such a large, important thing.

And I don't know very many leaders who don't struggle with this quite a bit.

So when you talk about limits, give us a quick theology, where does the idea of limits flow

biblically? Yeah, I mean, our staff retreat yesterday, we did the wilderness. We were studying
