All right, lesson number two that I learned from running an adult summer camp.

And to give you a tiny backstory in 2023, we need to sell 125 tickets in order for it to

break even, and I did tons of work to try to sell

125 tickets and we only sold 105 tickets and so we weren't going to do camp

again until on the last day of camp I told people hey we're not going to do camp again. Until on the last day of camp I told people hey we're not going to do it again and they

begged and pleaded for us to run camp again and I said all right in one week right after camp

2023 we have to sell 80 tickets for next year,

or else we're not gonna do it.

And we ended up selling 145 tickets for Camp 2024. So the second big lesson that I learned there was the fact that you

have to let others help you. I worked my butt off trying to sell tickets for Camp 2023. I did everything I possibly could in my power to sell

tickets and I wasn't able to get us to the number that I wanted to get us to. And yet when I turned it over to other people, and I gave them buy-in and I said,

hey, it's only going to work if you promote to your friends and family and if it you know if we don't sell these tickets we're not going to do it and so they were a stakeholder in this.

It was if they wanted it they had to you know kind of put up or shut up and help me sell these tickets and

when I did that and I let others help and I let the enthusiasm of others take over

so that we could get to the number that we wanted to get to. We didn't just get to 80 tickets. We almost

doubled that and got to 145 tickets. So what in your life can you allow others in? Can you give others some ownership of and can you allow others to help you with so that you can do something bigger than what you can do just on your own?
