Welcome to Karen Hunter's awesome.

As you know, this is a year that I am really focused on being better, being the best

version of myself.

And as I'm embarking on my 40-day year journey and I'm sharing these things

that I'm learning and coming to realization about myself and the things that I'm reflecting on,

I decided that I'm going to start sharing some life lessons. Things that I've learned

over the 60 years I've been on this earth

coming through that. And I want to share this with you because I imagine if you're listening

and you're 18 or 15, you may not do any of the things that I'm saying because you know everything.

But I promise you when you're in your 40s, you're going to be like,

oh yeah, Karen told me. I'm just putting a seed in. Okay, I'm putting a seed in the ground. What you do with it is up to you, how you water and nourish, it is up to you. But I will tell you for sure, I'm going to be 100% transparent about the things that I've learned because they have helped me. They have helped me. The mistakes I've made have helped me

become better. All right. So I'm going to drop some life lessons. And some of them are going to be

things people told me that I may not even agree with. So I'm going to share a life lesson with you

today. Some of you know I have had many careers. One of them was as a writer. I've written 30 plus books. I've

written books with a lot of famous people and some people you haven't heard of before.

I've published books. I have done five books with Wendy Williams. Wendy Williams, I did her

first book. Wendy's Got the Heat. And then we followed that up with the Wendy Williams experience. Williams, I did her first book. Wendy's got the heat.

And then we followed that up with the Wendy Williams experience. And then we did three novels,

all of which I published. Three of her novels I published. So I spent a great deal of time with Wendy

Williams Hunter. No relation. No relation. So let me just say that off with Kevin. I do have a sibling named Kevin. Her husband named Kelvin, his real name is Calvin, is no relation, not related. So it was ironic that she ended up marrying a man with my last name. I knew Wendy before she was married, by the way. I did a piece on Wendy

Williams when I was at the New York Daily News, as I was mentioning covering entertainment. I spent

days in the studio with her and I did a profile on her for the New York Daily News Entertainment
