Thank you for joining me once again. We continue to discuss what feels like to many the menacing topic of death.

But as we are discussing, it's not as scary as people feel if only they look at it in the correct way.

Yesterday I left you with a question.

Why is death programmed into our biological systems? Well, we can only guess.

Biologists called program cellular death.

They have a term for it. It's called apoptosis.

Apptosis is programmed cellular death.

When a cell forgets to die, we call that cancer. Cancer is the loss of the memory of death. The cell is on

its own mission of immortality at the expense of the body. It forgets it's part of a wholeness.

That the function of a stomach cell is to digest food,

but also be part of the wholeness of the system that we call the body or the body mind that we call

the body or the body mind or a biological organism.

Similarly, our ecosystem is a holistic system

that can only be maintained if there is programmed death.

Of course, in an ecosystem,

that's also what we call the food chain.

Every organism is food for another organism.

Even if you're cremated at the end

and your body is reduced to elements that return to the soil that's food for somebody else, some other biological

organism, maybe a tree, maybe a plant, maybe a butterfly on a rose petal but that's how life is possible. Life is only possible because of death.

Death makes life. possible because of death.

Death makes life possible.
