0:16.8	Today we are talking about lies. We've told ourselves whether you're a new Christian or
0:22.8	I've been walking with the Lord for decades. We all have struggled with believing lies and
0:27.4	have downright bought into them at one time and another. Today we want to share some of the

0:54.1	and a lot of times just made them our identity. What we want to do by God's spirit's help is to
1:01.0	remove that, take that off of you and replace that with what does God's words say about you.

1:17.3	by looking at just an example passage here that I think can really be a landmark for
1:24.9	the rest of today's show. But I'm going to go to Matthew chapter four. And this is the
1:33.8	temptation of Jesus by the devil. And Jesus is out in the wilderness. He's fasting. He's
1:41.5	kind of preparing himself for ministry. And it says that in verse one, Jesus was led up by the spirit
1:49.1	into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting 40 days and 40 nights, he was hungry.
1:55.5	I know I'd be. I'm hungry after 40 minutes, let alone 40 days. And then the tempter came and said to
2:03.7	him, if you are the son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread. But Jesus answered,
2:10.1	it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of
2:16.0	God. Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said
2:20.6	to him, if you are the son of God, throw yourself down for it's written, he will command the angels
