Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about

Trump versus Elon, Elon rejecting truce edition. Ever since Trump and Elon decided they

weren't friends anymore, they've lashed out at each other over social media at various points.

Back in June, Trump said, quote,

The easiest way to save money in our budget, billions and billions of dollars,

is to terminate Elon's governmental subsidies and contracts.

On Wednesday, Trump's press secretary indicated she believed that Trump was opposed to federal agencies contracting with Musk's companies.

Now Trump is trying to walk all that back.

Trump posted to social media, quote,

Everyone is stating that I will destroy Elon's companies by taking away some, if not all, of the large-scale subsidies he receives from the U.S. government.

This is not so. I want Elon and all businesses within our country to thrive. In fact, thrive like never before.

This was widely seen as a truce offer from Trump.

Elon basically took the olive branch and metaphorically slapped Trump across the face with it.

Elon took to social media to say, quote,

The subsidies he's talking about simply do not exist.

DJT has already removed or put an expiry date on all sustainable energy support,

while leaving massive oil and gas subsidies untouched.

SpaceX won the NASA contracts by doing a better job for less money.

Moving those to other aerospace companies would leave astronauts stranded and taxpayers on the hook

for twice as much. A user posted the news about Trump saying he won't destroy Elon's companies.

Elon seemed to be mocking the idea and simply posted,

Few!
