So today, we're going to talk about Canada polluting the U.S. and the lesson to learn.

Pollution from Canada has drifted across the U.S. border and has created an air quality alert

that should be noted by those over 65,

younger than 14, those who are pregnant, those who work outdoors, or those with medical conditions

ranging from heart issues to asthma. It also impacts those who care about anybody in any of those

categories.

So what's the pollution?

New York City Emergency Management said, said, quote,

Wildfire smoke is moving into the New York City area today,

bringing hazy skies, reduced visibility, and potential breathing issues. New York City

emergency management is closely monitoring conditions with the National Weather Service and New York

State Department of Environmental Conservation for any changes to forecast or local impacts.

An air quality health advisory is in effect through midnight due to elevated levels of fine

particulate matter.

Air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups, including older adults, children, and people

with heart or lung conditions. You may notice a faint smell of smoke and visibility between 4 to 6 miles.

Take precautions. Limit outdoor activity, close windows, use air purifiers if available,

and consider wearing a high quality mask if you must go outside and are in a sensitive
