So today, we're going to talk about Trump's amazing, glorious trade victory.

Stuff of legends.

Greatest victory unlike any you've ever seen.

Trump announced a pause on the tariffs set to go into effect for Mexico and Canada.

As I said, one, two, two and a half.

What did the master of all things trade-related get in exchange for stopping the tariffs? He said would bring them to their knees? Well, nothing trade-related. The announcement of the pause on Mexico's tariffs came with the

administration saying that Mexico had agreed to send 10,000 troops to run interdiction operations.

An amazing thing that had never been done before in the history of the world, except in

2019 and then again in 2021.

I know, some people are suggesting it's literally the same 10,000 troops from 2021.

We haven't been able to confirm that as of yet, which means you're left with two options.

First is that it is the same troops, in which case, Mexico's

government played Trump to an amazing degree. The other option is that the 2021 mission ended,

and this is it being refocused, which means Trump had to start a trade war, damage U.S. soft power,

hurt the U.S. economy, and damage U.S. reputation to get what Biden got with a smile.

Neither one of those options are Trump wins.

Now to Canada. Canada is apparently going to appoint a fentanyl czar and runs some extra helicopter flights. Reminder, Trump said it was

about trade deficits and quote subsidizing Canada. Literally nothing about that in the reported deal.

It's also worth noting that fentanyl really doesn't come from Canada in any significant amount. And it looks like

pretty much everything was actually announced back in December, and he knows his base won't call him on it.

So, Trump in essence got, well, nothing. But he did get a cool announcement he can sell to his base as a win. Remember, that's what
