Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Trump,

Musk, Treasury, Data, and Court. Yesterday, we talked about the idea that Musk and his team

were getting access to systems within the Treasury Department and how it was going to play out. We said it would

end up in court and likely start a lengthy legal battle. It is headed to court. The Alliance for

Retired Americans, the American Federation of Government Employees, and the Service Employees

International Union have filed suit against

the Treasury Department.

Those organizations are being represented by Public Citizen Litigation Group and State Democracy

Defenders Fund.

The suit also names the Bureau of the Fiscal Service as well as Scott Bessent in his official capacity as Secretary of the Treasury.

The suit asks for, quote, injunctive relief to halt defendants unlawful, ongoing, systematic, and continuous disclosure of personal and financial information contained in defendant's

records to Elon Musk and other members of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency.

The filing states, quote,

Secretary Bessence Action granting Doge affiliated individuals full, continuous, and ongoing

access to that information for an unspecified period of time means that retirees, taxpayers,

federal employees, companies, and other individuals from all walks of life have no assurance that their information

will receive the protection that federal law affords. And because defendant's actions and

decisions are shrouded in secrecy, individuals will not have even basic information about what

personal or financial information the defendants are sharing

with outside parties or how their information is being used. Okay, so now starts the legal battle.

It will likely go on for quite some time. There will be ups and downs. Politically, the Democratic Party has sent their
