Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump, the cabinet, Elon, and a sharp social media post.

Shortly after news broke of Elon being instructed by senators that he needs to use the congressional rescission process to withhold funding,

a new wrinkle emerged.

Trump posted to social media. For those who remember the first administration, it might seem

vaguely familiar. We'll go through each paragraph. Trump's post said, in relevant part,

quote, Doge has been an incredible success, and now that we have my cabinet

in place, I have instructed the secretaries and leadership to work with Doge on cost-cutting

measures and staffing. As the secretaries learn about and understand the people working for the

various departments, they can be very precise as to who will

remain and who will go. We say the scalpel rather than the hatchet. The combination of them,

Elon, Doge, and other great people will be able to do things at a historic level.

Commentators are already calling this a rare public scolding of Elon by Trump,

which, sure, that's probably a valid read, but there's more.

Trump is unhappy with how the cuts are going.

Trump is a person who hates admitting he was wrong.

He's had to rehire multiple groups of employees terminated by Elon's crew. Each time that happens, it's embarrassing and undermines his

image to his base. Same thing with the leases and the government properties. Trump doesn't want to be embarrassed again, so he's putting a political leash on Elon through his cabinet.

It looks like firing decisions are now taken away from Elon and will now be handled by the secretaries,

and the drastic and random firings will now be done with a scalpel and not a hatchet and definitely

not a chainsaw. Moving to the next paragraph. We just had a meeting with most of the secretaries,

Elon and others, and it was a very positive one. It's very important that we cut levels down to where they should be,
