questions about the VA cuts and let you know as much as we've been able to find out. First,

We're going to start off with the headline stuff. Trump plans on firing about 83,000 Veterans Affairs

employees this year. They won't be immediate. Under the current schedule, there's a review that will

be conducted and is due May 9th.

The plan for the firings comes out in June.

The layoffs are scheduled to begin in August.

So, we're going to go through a few of your questions.

What do you think the actual effect of the VA cuts will be?

Staffing levels will go down to what they were before the PACT Act. What will the effects be? Longer wait times, less resources,

rushed visits. Those three seem guaranteed. But until we see the plan in June, we probably

won't know for sure.

Rument, that's rumor intelligence for those who never heard the term,

is always grounded in reality, but also normally wrong. That's the case here. He's not undoing the

PACT Act, legally speaking. He's undoing the staffing progress that has been made since the PACT Act came

through. If you got benefits because of the PACT Act, everything I see indicates you will still have them.

The problem is, is that when you got your benefits or they were expanded under the Act,
