Well, howdy there, internet people, let's bow again. So today we are going to talk about the

courts and questions and how it's getting drafty over there and divergent takes on it.

And what we're going to do is go through the information and then kind of talk about the various takes along the spectrum and explain

why they exist even though they are so far apart.

Okay so starting off with the actual news, the Supreme Court in Israel, they basically said that the ultra-Orthodox can't be exempted from military service,

short version, citing their version of the US equal protection clause.

Same basic premise.

So this has led to takes

is really going to help Netnahu's effort in Gaza

to this is going to bring down Netanyahu's government.

Pretty different interpretations of it, right?

Okay, so as far as it helping, the idea is that there will be more troops.

Therefore, it will help his efforts.

Let's be clear on something.

The ultra-Orthodox, they don't want to fight.

Not that they can't, but they don't want to.

They've had this exemption or a similar exemption for I actually think since the beginning.

So even if this was to be pursued and they were to be brought into military service.

They don't want to be there.

Then you have to add the time for training.

And even once they get through training, they don't want to be there.

I do not foresee this as something that is going to be a game changer as far as helping Netanyahu's efforts.
