Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again. So today we are going to talk about some

political maneuvering that is occurring up on Capitol Hill. What's going on in the Senate, and then maybe a

surprise that is occurring over in the House. And we'll have to wait and see how it plays out, but there's some

interesting movement. Okay, so we have talked a few times about House Schumer over in

the Senate, the Democratic leader over there, has arranged a number of votes and

those votes are putting Republicans in a position where they have to actually vote on something,

rather than just say therefore it and then not act. And those votes have been incredibly uncomfortable for a lot of

Republicans. They've done this with IVF protection, Supreme Court ethics,

protection for contraceptives, and now with bump stocks as well.

These votes are going to be votes you'll see in the campaign.

They're creating campaign material by doing this.

My opponent, they voted to block protections for IVF, even though they said they were

for it. That's what they're doing. Now I mean the easy fix for

this for the Republican Party would be to actually vote in favor of you

know protecting people's reproductive rights but I mean I guess that's just a

bridge too far the thing is over in the house Republicans seem to feel like they don't have to worry about this,

because their leadership is in charge in the House.

The Democratic Party is putting together discharge petitions.

This is something there is not a Schoolhouse Rock episode on,

but the short version is that if you get enough representatives to sign on to something,

you can sidestep the leadership.
