Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again. So today we're going to talk about

the state of Hawaii and the youth 2045 we'll just kind of go over something that has occurred that I hope

gets a whole bunch of coverage.

On Thursday, a group of youths, 13 of them, aged 9 to 18.

They reached a settlement with the state of Hawaii.

They had filed suit because, well, they alleged that the state was violating their

constitutional rights under the state constitution because the

infrastructure contributes emissions that contribute to climate change.

The case was set to go to trial on Monday and the state agreed to a settlement.

The core part of the settlement is that all ground, sea and inner island air transport, will be zero

emissions by 2045.

And I know that sounds like a PR thing.

This is a real settlement that can be enforced in court. The kids won. The kids won.

The kids won.

Now it's worth noting I believe Hawaii was on track to be neutral by that point

but this is now not a campaign promise.

It's a settlement that can be enforced via the courts. It's a good reminder of some ancient and sage advice.

We don't inherit the world from our parents.

We borrow it from our kids. The kids in Hawaii, well the kids are all right.

There are other states where there similar legal actions going on

So far Montana and Hawaii they have done the best
