So today, we're going to talk about a cruise ship, trump, and retreating from New Orleans.

A viral video shot from a New Orleans street, showing a cruise ship passing by that appears to be above the person recording the video,

has prompted a lot of discussion.

Now, to be clear, some of the appearance is optical illusion, but it prompted the discussion

of parts of the city being underwater.

There were jokes about it being Atlantis, the famous mythical city that sank

below the sea. It's funny, except it's kind of not. Earlier this month, a study was released that urged

withdrawing from the city. The coverage has a bunch of quotes, but I think one of the most

important to really internalize is this one. Quote, even if you stopped climate change today,

New Orleans days are still numbered. It will be surrounded by open water, and you can't keep an island situated below sea level afloat.
