Thank you for listening to this message from Damon Thompson Ministries. We're going to go to probably 1st John 3, but I'm going to show you two things quickly

before we get there. And we're going to continue on this journey tonight of Theosis.

And we're going to talk again about Theosis and the incarnation.

When we use the word Theosis, we're talking about divinization or deification.

These are terms that are rattling and contradictory and divisive in the West,

but they are not that way anywhere else in the world.

And so what we and you and I are attempting to do now,

and I say in the West, not everybody in the West has a problem with it.

It's just the fundamentalist in the West that have had such an impact on how many of us were raised in religion.

Now that we're getting free from that, we are developing a new satirical.

Soteriology is simply the study of how we understand what salvation is.

Soteria is one of the Greek words for salvation.

Sooteria.

And sooteria has to do with a lot more than us escaping future punishment.

So Terria is literally us being set back in our intended position.

So Terria or salvation is the recovery of the intended blueprint.

And when you understand that to be saved from sin is to be saved, so tarid, or sozio is a word that's also used for

saved. We get both Greek words continually in the New Testament.

Most of the time if you see the word save it's going to be so, so if you see the word

salvation it's going to be so tarya. They're a little different but they have a

lot in common. Tonight when we talk about what it means to be

saved I want to talk about being saved from sin. Sin is Hamartia. Ha
