Hi, it's Andy here, and welcome to Radio Headspace. So it's Tuesday morning. Today's

will speak to you, I hope, regardless of your situation, but I think especially if you have children,

this might speak to you a little more. And I don't know if you had any expectations before you had children of what your children

might be like or whether your partner did, whether your parents did, your friends did.

But one thing that I found was that just because of what I had chosen to do with my life,

because I'd done a little bit of meditation, because I'd been a monk, most of my friends assumed

that my wife was going to give birth to a little Buddha,

someone who just sat there very quietly, very calm, didn't really sort of say very much.

So it was a big surprise and a big shock to all of them when we had our first boy and, you know,

he was full of energy and just a very, very energetic character.

When I think about that, I'm always reminded of one of my teachers.
