Wow, this is it. Today is the final day to get let go through the Pound Project's crowdfunding campaign.

I'll be honest, launching a book in the middle of summer, while recovering from surgery and a cancer diagnosis, wasn't exactly in my original plan.

Add in everything happening in the world right now and it's felt like an unusual

timing for asking people to pay attention to anything, let alone my book. But maybe that's exactly

when stories about letting go need to be told. Not when everything's perfect and orderly,

but right in the middle of life being life.

I've also found that putting this work out there, putting these minisodes out there,

making the ask has just been another act of letting go,

because the recovering people pleaser, perfectionist, overgiver, overthinker,

and over-responsible in me would be like, oh, but like, what about this or what about that,

or maybe people who feel funny? And actually, I'm like, no, I'm just going to let that go and say what I need to say.

And whoever this book is supposed to connect with, it'll connect.

The support has been lovely, and I'm so grateful to everyone who's back to this project.

And it's really the story of the last decade of my life, condensed into a

mini memoir. The road of trials that taught me everything about surrender, about distinguishing

between what I can control and what I'm exhausting myself trying to manage. This is just,

I guess, part one of a longer story.

There's more to tell, more to process, more letting go to do.
