Welcome to our Thursday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm continuing to teach about Elijah.

I've got this book entitled Lessons from Elijah, and I not only have the book, but I have a study guide which is the same material that's in the book, but it's just reformatted specifically so that you could disciple other people through Sunday School Bible study or something like this.

So it's the same material just put into a format where you ask questions, you discuss it, and then you look up the scriptures.

It's really simple. We also have CDs and DVDs that were taken from a television program, and so we've got a lot of material.

We're also offering teachings about David and Joseph.

I've done the same thing that I've done here with the teaching on Elijah, and we're offering all of that as a package at the end of our program today. We'll share that with you.

I started sharing on last Monday about Elijah coming to Ahab and Jezebel.

They were the most ungodly kings that had ruled in Israel up to that time.

They had been killing all of the prophets of God, and they had forbidden the worship of the true God of Israel, and they had instituted bail worship.

And in the midst of this terrible situation, a man with a word from God stood up to the king and changed everything.

And one of the lessons to learn is that the word of God is that powerful, and if a man would stand up today and speak the word of God without compromise, it will change things today.

And I believe that that's happening. I believe it's happening right here in the United States of America, as well as all of the other places around the world that this program is heard.

I believe that God is inspiring people to stand up and take the word of God and speak it.

Elijah just enforced Deuteronomy, chapter 11, verses 16 and 17, which said that if the people ever turned away from worshiping the true God, that he would send to drought.

So Elijah just stood up and proclaimed the written word of God and spoke it.

And the point that I was making on the program yesterday was that he immediately put himself in the crosshairs of they have who had been killing all the true prophets of God.
