Hey, you guys, welcome back to Heal Survive and Thrive. Today's guest, I am so excited for you

guys to hear her story because I know it's so relatable. And I know a lot of you will see

yourself in her story. She spent 23 years in a relationship with someone who is narcissistic

and spent many moments over the course of those years having what she calls her breaking point moments where she knew

intuitively that something was off. And like so many people in long-term relationships with

people like this, there were many moments where she tried to leave. In fact, she actually

filed for divorce twice. And finally during COVID, having to go through lockdown with her ex-husband, she finally

found the strength and came to the realization that nothing is going to change and began to move

herself forward. The dysfunction and the relationship that she had experienced for so many years

just came to a point where she just couldn't ignore it any longer. This is also what she calls

her lowest emotional point in her life.

Today she is on the other side of this chapter and she is reflecting on everything that she

learned, how she got the strength to leave and how she has rebuilt her life and is still

rebuilding her life going forward.

so, you know, everyone has a different relationship with someone who's, you know, we'll say toxic,

narcissistic, whatever. I feel like that narcissism word sometimes will trigger people, but it's

legit. So it's a thing. Whether it's their parents, their mother-in-law, a lot of women I know that follow me and

men, it's more so the romantic relationship.
