I'm John Fuller, joined by Dr. Greg Smalley and his wife, Aaron. They lead the Focus Marriage Department. And I would say I'm at the age where I'm thinking about legacy. I have no intentions of kicking the bucket anytime soon.

Because we have a lot of my podcasts to do. We do. We do. But my mom is up there in years. I'm thinking through kind of what did

my dad leave when he passed away last year. And so I'm thinking legacy. And Greg, do you think

about legacy in terms of, I mean, everything you do seems to be influenced by marriage and thinking

about marriage. So how do you think about legacy with regard to marriage?

It's a fun question to think through. I mean, my hope is that when our kids someday are

talking about our marriage after we're long gone, that first and foremost that they would say,

you know, my mom and dad, within their marriage, they loved the Lord.

They pursued God.

They, he mattered.

He was the cornerstone of their marriage.

I would hope that they would go, man, my parents, I mean, they certainly had problems and they would have worked through them, whatever.

But man, they had so much fun

together like they they they were best friends they really seemed to enjoy each other that they just

didn't stay together for the sake of us that they just didn't endure you know a tough marriage
