No matter how much or how little you make, it's important to develop some good saving habits.

And I'm so grateful. My wife and I made very little money when we first got married 40 years ago.

And I think we learned, even in in that season to both be generous and to

save up something toward the future. And God is so richly blessed. We don't have the same

strains that we used to, but our kids are experiencing some of that. So here we are, and my role

I've told people sometimes is I'm just Mr. Moneybags

for kids who are struggling. Well, I'm John Fuller, along with Greg Smalley and his wife, Aaron.

They lead the focus marriage team. We've talked about finances a number of times here because

it's one of the main reasons people call for counseling. They call because as a married couple,

they are struggling.

And Greg, I'm thinking finances can be a problem no matter how much a couple makes.

Right. And that's why for Aaron and I, we've really talked through, how are we going to save money?

I mean, what are some of these little things that we're going to do? Like, for example,

we always make sure that we tithe first to our Like, for example, we always make sure that we tithe first

to our church. And so we want to make sure that we're giving those first fruits back to the Lord.

And so that that's always been, that's just automated for us. So it's always been a high priority.

I think it's something else that we're really trying to get better at,

but we know how good this is for us saving money is to eat at home, cook and eat at home.

I mean, you know, we both work. We're tired. It's so easy to go, hey, let's go to this restaurant,

stop by and grab this. Yeah, I was going to say,

isn't it so easy? You've got like 20 minutes to get home and then it's going to be 30 minutes

before you eat and it's like just right around the corner here where just on the way home is this
