Hello everyone. Welcome back to the In Bloom podcast. My name is Abby Aslin. If you are new here,

and I am the host of this podcast. Super excited for this week's episode per usual. I hope everyone's

been having a good week or weekend or just had a good weekend when you're listening to this.

I am currently sitting in my room recording this. I normally

record at my desk, but I think I sit at my desk enough these days, so we're doing a little

bit of a switchup, change of scenery, so I don't go crazy. But I'm sitting in my room, and I have,

it's like Sunday afternoon, not a cloud in the sky, I have my like shades open. I'm like looking out my

window in my view of the city and seeing like no clouds in the sky. It's like 62 degrees I think

out. It's like I can feel spring is approaching in the air and my insides are just like craving home so bad right now like

I'm loving like the beauty of Houston here and I'm trying to like appreciate like where I'm

out right now like being present just being like okay it's a beautiful day here in Houston like just

because I feel like spring is coming and I can just feel it in the air

and it makes me miss home. That doesn't mean that like I need to like focus so much on that

to where I'm like not recognizing the beauty of like the present moment where I am right now today.

But something about like this, I don't know, this this kind of like transitional time especially in the

south because I know it's still like cold up north and everything but towards like middle end of

February like it kind of stops getting as cold and it just like gradually starts warming up and

I just miss like the salty like air back home and it makes me think of like spring and I always loved like

these days back home when there wouldn't be a cloud in the sky and I would like drive with my

windows down to the beach and just go like sit out in the sun and it may not be like a hot summer

day but it was just it would just be like a cooler day reading a book, and then going home and like getting all cozy and going betterly.

Those were like the best days. And I'm just like very nostalgic for that right now.
