I'm so happy you hopped on today to listen. First of all, I just want to say, if you can hear my

dryer, like, very subtly in the background, I'm so sorry. I have like a bajillion loads of laundry

to get through at it's 3.30 p.m. So like, I got to keep going and I can't stop it right now because it's Sunday and I

need to get a lot of loads of laundry done and I tried to like position my microphone to where

it hopefully doesn't really pick it up as much but it's kind of hard to do that sometimes. So sorry if

you hear that. But my name is Avi Aslan if you're new here and this week we're going to be

talking about my expectations

versus my reality in terms of um reflecting i guess on my first month of working my job if you did not

know or if you're new here i've been working in um or in tax accounting at a big four firm

for a month now i think think tomorrow. Yeah, tomorrow,

the day this episode comes out is actually a month, like, because I started January 7th and

tomorrow is February 7th. So it is a month from me starting my full-time job. And I just thought

this would be a cool episode to do because I think it's well hopefully like anybody else like going into the industry

and even if you're not specifically going into this job I think that some of these expectations

I had are sort of consistent across the board with like different jobs and my reality may or may

not be different like on what your reality be, but I feel like it would

just be good insight. And kind of just like reflecting on the last month of working and also just

kind of getting into like how I make things work in terms of splitting up my time with, you know,
