Summary

I lost my shit the other day on my 13-year-old son.

We were fishing and I told him to grab a tool from the toolbox.

A fish had a hook stuck in his gills.

I don't like killing fish.

I love catch and release.

30 minutes before, he was looking for it and never put it back.

I laid into him and tore him a new asshole.

An hour after he was done being mad at me, we had a talk about "Man Law."

If I give you a knife closed, hand it back to me closed.

Same with any other item.

If you spend the night at someone's house, make sure everything was as you found it.

Same applies for the toilet seat.

When we go camping, people leave their trash.

Not our family.  We pick up every little piece of trash and paper.

The law of man is to leave things as they were or better.

Give it back as you found it, or put in back in the place you found it, but no matter what, leave it better than you found it.

This applies to everything in your life.

So I lost my shit the other day on my 13-year-old son. We're out fishing and I landed this

0:30.6

probably three-pound bass. If I was telling fishing stories, I'd say it was five, but it was a

0:35.4

legitimate three-pound bass. And the bass got the lure stuck down in its gill, so I tell my 13-year-old son,

0:43.1

I said, son, go grab that leatherman tool from the toolbox.

0:46.9

Well, just 30 minutes before, I heard Jackson grab that leatherman tool and then go,

I got to get it out of the sun, put it somewhere else.

And then when he went to go grab the leatherman, it wasn't there. And so as heat of the moment,

I got this fish. I don't like killing fish guys. Like I like catching release. I like eating them,

1:04.9

but I don't just like killing them for no reason. And I don't damn sure don't want to hurt him. He's probably in enough pain with it sucking his gills, so I'm going to get it out quickly.

1:11.2

I'm just a nice guy like that towards living things.

1:14.0

Not always towards humans,
