Maower. Today we are talking about Tesla in China, Elon Musk buying more Tesla

stock, and another executive departure for Tesla. Kind of a disappointing day for Tesla on the market,

finishing down 1.74% to $ 271.78,

this compared to the Nasdak down 0.04%. Probably just circumstantial but looking at the

trading for Netflix today it was very similar to Tesla in terms of how the charts turned

out. As I said yesterday Netflix reported really strong earnings after close, the stock was up 12 to 15 percent, which seemed like a good thing for growth stocks and for tech, but that huge after hours increase didn't really hold up today.

It opened less than 10% above yesterday's clothes.

And then similarly to Tesla, it fell throughout the day.

So Tesla actually began the day in the 2 80s and then dipped as low as high

260s before closing just above 270. Netflix also opened the day at a high

in the high 370 range, fell down to the high 350s and then finish the day in the mid

360s. I just wanted to point out the really similar pattern there because even

though Tesla finished in the negative and the NASDAQ was pretty close to flat,

I still think that the price movement today for Tesla was pretty much driven by the

macro environment rather than anything isolated to Tesla. Which to come back to my original point was disappointing to see because my hope and

expectation was that Netflix as a growth stock would be a strong positive

influence for a stock like Tesla on a day like today, but I digress.

On to Tesla specific news, then we had some pretty big news this morning.

Tesla has acquired an 864,000 square meter plot of land in Shanghai for Gigafactory 3.

For comparison sake, this is a much smaller plot of land than Tesla has in Nevada for Gigafactory 1.
