people early from the sentence they got because of the crime they committed, that's a really good

idea because that will clear up space. Really? Yeah, what it will do is release criminals quicker

into the environment who won't have been

rehabilitated to commit crime again. I mean, personally, it will be a good idea to perhaps deport

foreign criminals, or maybe this is an outrageous suggestion, build some more prisons.

I'd go the other way, you see, I'd say if you've got five years, you're going to serve five years,

and I'm going to make sure that prison is what it was meant to be.

Police chiefs are saying that the government's plans to radically reform sentencing, ready for this,

will lead to an increase in crime of 6%.

So even the police, who aren't that competent, to be perfectly honest, are saying,

if you let more people out, that will increase crime.

But this Labour government believes that that is the answer.
