And we got an update on Christian Wood, but it wasn't the one that we wanted. While trying to ramp up to return, he's experienced some soreness in his knee will be re-evaluated in four

weeks, D, not the news that we were looking for. And another in a series of oddly lingering

injuries that did not necessarily meet the initial timetable that was proposed or anywhere

close to it. So I think we're going to be fine, like the way the season

is developing, and I'll kind of make my argument about that in a bit. But I'd certainly rather

have Christian Wood than not, but I think that the Lakers will be able to be okay. But Dee,

what's your reaction to the news? I'd prefer to have Christian Wood available as well. We talked about Rui in yesterday's

pod. I think a healthy amount of competition is always good. There was also that game where

Rui missed. That happened to also be a game that LeBron missed. So it's like super over-indexed on

missing forwards with Vando's still out as well. But anytime one of the big

players is dinged up or out, like Jackson Hayes, for example, when AD went out in the middle

part of the third quarter against Toronto, Hayes had to basically play the rest of the game.

And it's just like, it'd be nice to have another guy.

And that was a night that Coloco didn't suit up as well. And so when you have so many forwards

who are out or an additional forward who's unavailable to play, it can put a strain on your
