I’m re-sharing one of my favorite episodes of Everything Is the Best, my conversation with Ky Dickens, because it still feels deeply important.
Ky is a filmmaker and truth-seeker, and we talk candidly about power, influence, intuition, and what happens when trust is misplaced. This episode matters to me not just as a woman, but as a mother to a daughter with autism. It reminds me how essential it is to protect vulnerability, to listen closely, and to stay grounded in truth while still holding onto hope.
This conversation stayed with me because it’s ultimately about clarity, agency, and believing yourself again. If you’re in a season of questioning, healing, or learning how to trust your inner voice, I hope this episode offers both perspective and hope.
I’m really glad to share it again.

| 0:00.0 | The following podcast is a dear media production. |
| 0:15.9 | Hey, guys. So happy new year. |
| 0:20.6 | I get to once a year, replay an episode that I think, you know, |
| 0:29.8 | some of you might have missed. That's just really, really, really important to me instead of |
| 0:33.5 | reporting a new episode. And this Kai Dickens episode just means the world to me as a mother |
| 0:44.1 | of an autistic child, as a person who, you know, has felt really lost in the last three years |
| 0:52.9 | at times. And that like really needed, I really needed this for my |
| 0:58.8 | soul. And it was such an honor to meet her. And what I really think is important that I want you |
| 1:05.6 | to take out of this episode, no matter what you believe in, because I think this stuff can be |
| 1:10.1 | like hard for people to comprehend, |
| 1:11.3 | is that Kai is approaching everything that she's doing with the telepathy tapes from such a |
| 1:19.6 | genuine, but very like data-driven perspective. She's not some crazy woo-woo woman. You know, she's been making |
| 1:30.3 | documentary films for a long time and this just happened to be something that she stumbled upon. |
| 1:34.6 | And she's, this is like purely data and research that she's working on. So, you know, |
| 1:41.9 | if you are a skeptic or you need a little hope or, you know, you just want to |
| 1:46.8 | learn what it's like to understand what many of our peers are going through with autism, |
| 1:51.8 | especially like on a more severe level, like a nonverbal level. I encourage you to sit back and |
| 1:59.1 | listen to this. It's just pure magic. And please go ahead and |
| 2:02.0 | send this around to anybody that you think would benefit from. I think we all can. So enjoy your |
| 2:08.0 | New Year's. I'm sending you all so much love going into 2026. And I hope that there are many |
| 2:14.6 | moments in this podcast that make you feel really warm and fuzzy inside |
| 2:18.3 | and help like kickstart your new year with a little bit of hope and love. |
