And Christy was married to an armyman who was always in these

special units getting deployed very often. So there were lots of reprieves from the abuse for

Christy. So she's getting these two different worlds that she's living in. There's this cognitive

dissonance when this is happening, being a patriotic family versus what is happening behind closed

doors. And this abuser really didn't care to smooth things over. And he knew Christy just
