Richens case as the woman who wrote a children's book about grief and then got arrested during her book tour and was accused of murdering her husband by lacing his Moscow mule drink with fentanyl.

But wait, there's so much more.

She was also having an affair with her paramour.

And what came out during court hearings and her preliminary hearing is that she was telling her paramour and what came out during court hearings and her preliminary hearing is that she was

telling her paramour that they would be together soon, just wait for Friday. Yes, the early morning

hours of Friday is when paramedics came to the house and found her husband dead from a five times a lethal dose of fentanyl in his system.

But wait, there's more.

Prosecutors have also charged an attempted murder from about two weeks before the victim's death on Valentine's Day

when they accused Cory Richens of lacing a breakfast sandwich with fentanyl for her husband

and then leaving to go be at her boyfriend's house on Valentine's Day.

And when her husband texted her saying that he wasn't feeling well, she told him just to

go ahead and take a nap and sleep it off. He's like, I might need to go to the hospital.

She's like, just, why don't you lay down and sleep? So, we have seen quite a lot from this case

between the extended bail hearing the first time and the most recent hearings. This case has been

pared down some.

The defense team has had some pretty good rulings.

And the prosecution removed some of the charges in this case that were just not a right fit.

So when this goes to trial, it's going to go to trial on the murder charge, the attempted murder charge,

and then some of the forgery charges
