Summary

Today was a special one for me. I had the chance to interview my long time friend and competitive bodybuilder, Mike Symkoviak. Mike was a guy who knew me in the depths of my addiction and still treated me with love and respect. He has competed over 17 times and has a passion like you wouldn't believe for the sport. With some of the negative light we have shed on competition, Mike's story reminds us that there are people out there who genuinely have a love for the whole process. We talk about his roots as a Mormon competitive bodybuilder. How he finds the daily determination to do what he does, and pick his brain about what holds clients back the most. breakdancer. He can do backflips and the guy is like 240 and of pure muscle. He's also been

in some acting gigs. He's just a really, it's a really diverse human being that, you know, I go way back

with. And honestly, during some of my drug addiction days was a guy who really tried to befriend

me and put me on the right course. And so a lot of respect for Mike. We talk about his journey

and, you know, and competing and his love for competing. And I like the light we shined on it in this

episode because I've talked about kind of the negatives competing. And then there's certain people

who thoroughly enjoy the process of competing. They enjoy the grind. They enjoy the dirt. And that's
