On today's show, I was joined by my friend Joseph Sheehey of Cured Nutrition. It was a captivating chat about cannabinoids and the stigma that has been placed upon them. We look at things like alcohol as okay, but there is not one health benefit when it comes to alcohol in all reality. Cannabis has been studied for centuries now and has profound health benefits if used correctly. We talked about the narrative we get inundated with from a young age on many things, including cannabis.

Joseph's Bio

Joseph Sheehey, a former NASA-contributing aerospace engineer and nationally distinguished physique competitor, is now the Co-Founder and CEO of the leading cannabinoid wellness brand, Cured Nutrition. After decades governed by a strict set of rules and adherence to socially-acceptable paths, Joseph left a life of comfort to create one of true impact in this world. Though, at the time, he didn't yet know how far this pursuit would take him.

The same day he left corporate America, he found himself sitting in a therapist's office where he soon awoke to the reality that the only permission he was searching for was that which he had been neglecting to give to himself. In that moment, he vowed to live only in boundless possibility. He has re-dedicated his life to elevating consciousness on all fronts that, as a united human collective, breathe genuine happiness, health, and fulfillment.

Freckled with periods of anxiety, depression and suicidal attempts, his path has been far from the most glamorous; but through years of resilience, perseverance, and renewed self-awareness, his journey shows triumph through every tribulation. Now, his mission is to guide others towards this radical sense of self-actualization.

0:38.7	It's not regulated like food. So a bunch of people saw there was a wave, there was a trend,
0:43.0	and they started basically just creating fake CBD. So people would take and say, oh, they didn't really do
0:47.4	anything for me. So the source and who you get it from definitely matters. And all of us products
0:51.1	are tested, batched, you name it, high, high quality.
0:56.1	And we talked a lot about the narrative of cannabis.
0:58.8	And even if you're not interested, I think it's very important to you listen to this.

1:04.4	And even the title, I'm like, yeah, like some people might not because they're like,
1:08.3	oh, I'm not into any of that cannabinoids.

1:13.7	And this is coming from a guy who's sober and in recovery that I am still pro-cannibus.
1:18.1	I am much more pro-cannabis than I will ever be pro-alcohol.
1:21.6	Alcohol distructs and kills lives and there is literally zero good about it, zero, despite what someone might tell you about red wine.
