I'm John Batsch with Gregory Coppley, editor and publisher of Defense and Foreign Affairs.

We've been looking forward to this moment for 75 years. The King of England, King Charles III, is 75

years old right now, the oldest region I believe to take over the post when he

did at 74. At the same time a man who is looking

vigorous and I challenge Gregory because I understand the king means to be as fair-minded as possible instead of politics.

However, Gregory, the Tories are in disarray.

Labor is looking for the next general election to take over and yet it also has its

disorder. The king is he the man to come forward and unite this troubled island with the marches and the protesters and

the change of government and the doubts we have a couple of minutes.

Well one thing's for sure having a monarch means that governments can move left or right, fall or rise,

and the continuity of the state and the identity of the population remains constant. And Charles has come in and by the way happy

birthday your majesty he's come in at a time when he's reinvigorated this

leadership role.

And we saw that even on the weekend

with the armistice celebrations,

which overwhelmed, if you like,

the publicity for the pro-Hama's demonstrators in another

part of the city.

So essentially, yes, the Tories are in some trouble in their government because it's even though it's got a 50 seat majority,

it's been very weak and soft.
