Good evening and welcome to this sleepy bookshelf where we put down our worries from the day and pick up a good book.

I'm your host, Elizabeth. It is wonderful to be here with you tonight.

This evening we are returning to King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

But before we begin, let's take a moment to arrive here.

Get comfortable and allow your body to settle.

Close your eyes and take a slow breath in and out.

Notice the rhythm of your breathing just as it is.

And if your mind wanders,

gently guide it back to your breath.

King Arthur and his men spent some time in pursuit of leisure after the wedding. During a hunt, they were seeking

shelter for the night, when they came upon a barge, decorated with rich silks and linens. They climbed

aboard and were shown to lavish bedrooms.

But when they woke up, one night was back at home in Camelot.

One was teetering on the edge of a well, and King Arthur was in prison.

The prison was full of other knights who had also been tricked onto the barge by the false king Sir Damas, whose quarrel with his brother, Sir Outslake, had left him in search of a knight

to defend his inheritance. No one would fight for him, but King Arthur agreed in order to set the other

men free. Meanwhile, Sir Ackalon, who had been at the well, was visited by a dwarf who gave him

Arthur's sword Excalibur, sent to him by Arthur's half-sister, Queen Morgan Le Fay.

Sir Ackalon volunteered to fight on Sir Outslake's behalf,

but did not know he was fighting against King Arthur,
