My guest today is Kimberly Snyder, a nutritionist, the best-selling author of the beauty detox books, and now an entrepreneur with her own company, Saluna.

Early in Kimberly's career, she worked as a nutritionist on Hollywood sets, with clients like Drew Barrymore, Channing Tatum, and Reese Witherspoon.

Her work has encouraged readers around the world to eat their way to a more beautiful life, with recipes like her famous green-growing smoothie, which pretty much started the green drink trend.

In 2017, Kimberly was in the middle of writing her fifth book when her mother suddenly passed, and so began a new chapter of her career with a focus on holistic health and entrepreneurship.

She founded Saluna, a wellness brand, now-empower, that offers supplements, skin care, healthy recipes, meditation, and more.

Today, Kimberly talks about getting her start in nutrition and the many lives that it led to, from best-selling author to yoga instructor, holistic wellness expert, meditation teacher, and finally, entrepreneur.

On this podcast, we like to start at the beginning, so what did you study in school, and much more importantly, what did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

So, as early as I can remember, I wanted to be a scientist, and I was really into potions and mixing things, and I love this idea of creating.

And I went into college with a partial science and math scholarship, even though I really loved writing. So it was like this almost duality where part of me loved figuring things out, but I also loved the creativity and writing as well.

And very early on, I realized that the path of being a medical doctor was not for me, which was sort of the expansion of being the scientist.
