Today we have this writer and outdoor enthusiast, Dan Criesman.

Dan has written a couple of books, a sense of place teaching children about the

outdoors is one of them, and think green, a book have activities for kids,

as well as a few articles that I found extremely interesting to

dear to it for the Outer Rondick magazine.

Well, it's great to be here. Thank you.

So Dan, you and I, we have a few things in common and we'll get to those,

but I first want to have you tell us a little bit about you.

Okay. Well, I'm live on Long Island, married, I have two grown children,

and I've always been interested in the outdoors since I was a third grade.

I tried to trace it back to a third grade teacher who has to

report some birds, and that sort of set me on a course of wanting to spend

time outdoors, was I was interested in doing that.
