Well, this past weekend, we got out and hiked our first hike of a new challenge we came across.

There's now the Katzio Highest 100 Peaks on Public Property.

We've been working on the traditional Katzio Highest 100, and we've hit a bit of a roadblock here.

The problem is, a number of those peaks are on private property.

Peekaboo and I are down to our last 12, and of those 12, 10 of them happen to be on public property.

And we are just struggling to find ways to contact the property owners and get permission to hike it.

But we found out last week, and thanks to some good friends, specifically I want to give a shout out to Tom Rankin

for sending me this link. We now have the Katzio Highest 100 on Public Property.

And it looks like fun. There's a lot of bush wax on there. The peaks aren't as high, but there'll be some that'll give us some fun.

They'll be fun. They'll give us a little bit of a challenge.

And send us to new areas. Areas we haven't hiked in yet in the Katzkills.

So we're really looking forward to this. I'm not going to say we're completely giving up on what I'll call the traditional Katzio Highest 100.

But we're going to put it on hold. By the time we finish the Katzio Highest 100 that are on public property, we'll be down to just 10.

You know, maybe we stumble upon some information that helps us finish that challenge.
