So, Kevin, you are one of the hosts for KexP's show Sounds of Survivance.

I'm hoping you can tell me a little bit about that show.

Yeah, it's a weekly show, amplifying indigenous colonized people from around the world.

And my hope with this shows by it's sharing space for people that have a shared struggle against colonialism.

So all the artists that you hear represent colonized people in some way. And there's no genre. It's just kind of interweaving people from around the world and seeing what beautiful tapestry comes to that when you put all those struggles together in one place.

Okay. Well, you chose a new track that you're going to share with us today. What you got?

I have Martin Luke Brown. And it's just a single that I happened across.

A artist from the UK, randomly heard it, went into the album, and was like,

this is a magical record that goes to different places, reminds me of unknown water or orchestra at moments.

Oh, maybe certain water, stranger, no danger.

Reminds me of salt.

Reminds me of Devandra

Bairhart reminds me of Devandra Beinhardt. It has these little elements of all of them, but is just uniquely just a wonderful record that kind of hits a lot of different notes in a very meaningful wonderful way.

And I read that the song called This Is Me Now, it's about learning to love yourself.

Do you want to touch on that a little bit?

Yeah, like there's just certain lines. I think it's just sort of, it very much speaks to like middle-aged kind of reality and like the lines of like,

I've got deeper lines on my face, like I'm getting further away.
