She's the co-founder and editorial director of the Biannual Independent Magazine Cherry

Bomb, which celebrates women in the food world.

She's also the host of the Radio Cherry Bomb podcast, author of Cherry Bomb The Cookbook,

and the owner of the Smith-Canteen coffee shop in Carol Gardens.

But, before she struck out on her own and became a serial entrepreneur and food world guru,

Carrie worked in a much more traditional space, specifically beauty as the beauty director

for Harper's Bizarre and then the vice president of PR for Longcome.

What did you study in school and what did you think you were going to be when you grew

up?

I am very fortunate in that I knew from a very early age what I wanted to do.
